Industria, Student Union for Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences


In 1963 students Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences of Eindhoven University of Technology founded the student association Industria. In the last 43 years, Industria grew to become one of the largest student unions in Eindhoven. Nowadays the union counts more than 1200 members.
The goal of Industria is to look after the interests of all students of Industrial Engineering and Management Science of the TU Eindhoven. Where the word ‘interest’ is taken in the broadest sense of the word. This means that Industria:
  • supports the students during their studies
  • offers extracurricular activities to help students develop their talents and abilities
  • gives students the opportunity to orientate themselves at the job market.

Thanks to their close relationship with the department of Technology Management, fellow student unions and company sponsors, Industria is able to organise high quality events, each covering one or more of the three goals stated above. For students of the faculty Technology Management both participating as well as organising one of the events of Industria will give them a meaningfull addition to the curriculum as offered by the faculty.

Organisation
The activities of Industria are all organised by students Industrial Engineering and Management Science of all years. Each year about 150 students, within twenty committees, are involved in the organisation of one of the activities. The number of members implies the broad interest of the students, something what Industria tend to use to offer a wide spectrum of activities.
