'Industrial Engineering and Management Science' (IEM) is not the most self-explanatory name for an educational program. This is closely related to the unique character of the eduction: an academic program offering a wide perspective, integrating specific knowledge from several business-related areas. Therefore, IEM graduates are multidisciplinary professionals that can integrate knowledge from many mono-disciplinary specialists. Important research fields are:
